Ian plays harmonica (keys of A,D,E and C), Acoustic guitar (standard tuning and open E tuning) and Fender Telecaster (tuned to open G tuning to give that authentic Rolling Stones sound!).

Open E tuning (E,B,E,Ab,B,E) on the acoustic is used on "You can't Always Get What You Want"

Open G tuning is copied from Keith Richards 5 string tuning (G,D,G,B,D) and is used on nearly every song.

Two harmonicas (A & D) are required on "Not Fade Away"

Ian has never had a guitar lesson or harmonica lesson - he is completely self taught (with the aid of a few good books!)
